Terms and conditions

• the quality of copies will vary according to the age and condition of the documents and quality of microfilm, but that I will receive the best copy possible.
• some documents are not suitable for copying and I will not be charged if a document cannot be copied for reasons of size, format or condition.
• I must contact Cheshire East Archive Service if I wish to publish copies in any form including on a web-site.
• Cheshire East Archive Service cannot accept responsibility for mistakes that arise from imprecise instructions.
• if this declaration is false in a material particular the copy supplied to me by you will be an infringing copy and that I shall be liable for infringement of copyright as if I had made the copy myself.

• I have not previously been supplied with a copy of the same material by you or any other librarian or archivist.
• I will not use the copy except for research for a non commercial purpose or private study and will not supply a copy of it to any other person.
• to the best of my knowledge the work had not been published before the document was deposited in the Cheshire East Council Record Office and the copyright owner has not prohibited copying of the work. (NOTE: this clause refers only to unpublished material)
• to the best of my knowledge no other person with whom I work or study has made or intends to make, at or about the same time as this request, a request for substantially the same material for substantially the same purpose. (NOTE: this clause refers only to published material)
